In order to be able to offer a greater diversity of sound healing techniques, in November of 2015, I traveled to Kathmandu, Nepal to study with Master Shree Krishna Shahi: a world renowned pioneer and teacher in the use of Himalayan Singing Bowls for sound therapy. I trained one on one with Master Shree, learning the ancient techniques of using the bowls in direct contact with the body and earning Certification as a Sound Therapist.
During a private session, we begin with a brief conversation. You then recline in a manner that supports your body and provides you with comfort while the Himalayan bowls surround and envelope you with their sounds and vibrations. Bowls specifically designed to be placed on the body are used in a manner which feels right and amplifies this healing experience. The vibrations of the bowls travel deeply into the body to quiet the central nervous system, soothe any areas that need attention and bring about profound relaxation. The sounds and vibrations soothe your body and mind to resolve disturbances, balance the energy of the body and open the portals to your innate ability to repair, rebalance and heal. Other instruments may weave in and out of the session – always inspired by the needs that present themselves. When the sound session ends you are brought back to conscious present time and offered the opportunity to process your experience in a way that feels right to you.
The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of nonessentials.
